Hedda Lettuce will perform at Viva! 2013

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts — Tickets are on sale for Viva! 2013, the 20th Anniversary Gala to benefit The AIDS Foundation of Western Massachusetts (AFWM.) The gala will be held on January 25, 2013 at the Log Cabin Banquet and Meeting House in Holyoke, MA. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 8:00 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by New York City drag legend Hedda Lettuce, in a rare Western Massachusetts appearance. A silent auction will feature wares from local artisans and retailers, autographed sports memorabilia from the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics, and one-of-a-kind gift baskets. A live auction will be hosted by local radio and stage personality Kelsey Flynn. Gourmet fare and passed hors d’ourves will be served.
“This is not your average fundraising event,” says Executive Director Jessica R. Crevier. “It’s a celebration of life that is known for outrageous performances and interactive fun. Combined with the diversity and dedication of our attendees, it is a truly unique evening.” In honor of AFWM’s 20th Anniversary, attendees will be treated to a champagne toast and surprise giveaways throughout the evening.
All proceeds from Viva! support AFWM’s mission to provide practical and enlightened support to local residents who are living with HIV and AIDS. We provide emergency financial assistance, referral services, peer support and community education to help those who are infected with HIV/AIDS to achieve their best possible quality of life and those who are HIV negative to remain that way.
