BOSTON, Mass.—In an incredible victory for homeless youth across Massachusetts, the state legislature sent House Bill 4517—which instructs the Executive Office of Health and Human Services to establish programs that provide a continuum of housing and services for unaccompanied homeless youth—to Governor Patrick’s desk.
MassEquality Executive Director KC Coredini offered the following response to the legislation:
“Many thanks to our allies in both the House and Senate and our partners at the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless for supporting a vital piece of legislation that will go a long way in addressing the homeless youth epidemic in the Commonwealth. We are looking forward to the Governor signing this bill into law.” [pullquote]”Many thanks to our allies in both the House and Senate and our partners at the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless for supporting a vital piece of legislation that will go a long way in addressing the homeless youth epidemic in the Commonwealth.[/pullquote]
