SPRINGFIELD, Mass.—The 1st annual Dance for a Cause summer series will kick off this August with Latin dances and lessons benefiting Prison Birth Project and The AIDS Foundation of Western MA. All are welcome to dance for good causes every Friday evening in August at Eastworks in Easthampton, MA.
Prison Birth Project provides full-spectrum doulas and advocacy for abortion, pregnancy, labor, and post-partum at the Chicopee Women’s Correctional Center. PBP also conducts leadership training and organizes with local mothers in jail for adequate pregnancy healthcare in MA jails and prisons.
The AIDS Foundation of Western MA gives financial support for basic needs to low income people living with HIV/AIDS, provides referral services to ensure other needs are met, and offers a support group for men. AFWM also does prevention education in the community and runs the annual Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Conference.
Join us to make a difference just by dancing, and please help spread the word!
